You can start by changing the value of the ‘slope’ resistor (seen above circled in blue), and move the ‘range’ of the tone controls to suit your liking. The spec is fun to play with but it’s nothing that hasn’t been floating out there forever. Just like the mod 5 what your hearing is a good player more then the mods. Web7 mrt. 2024 · Originally did a 'one wire mod' that cascaded the two channels like a JCM800 but that took away too much of the 'plexi' feel of the amp, so I put it back to stock before I did any more mods to it. Basically I'm building it to what is reported that EVH allegedly had on his original 12xxx series Plexi. And it sounds fucking fantastic right now.

WebIt’s not the typical one wire mod, as the channels are joined before all the 68k inputs therefore giving you 34k on both inputs which is impossible to achieve if you use an external channel jumper which gives you 68k on one side and 34k on the other.
